Privacy policy
This policy explains what Majority Democrats collects when you use majoritydemocrats.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, so it is short.
Effective September 23, 2026.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your email address and ZIP code, when you sign up for updates.
- Whatever you choose to send us when you write to [email protected] or [email protected], including your name and contact details.
What your browser tells us
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, roughly where visitors are, what device and browser they use, and which site sent them here. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We look at these numbers in aggregate, not to identify you. You can turn it off with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Most films on this site play from our own servers. Where a film plays from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo, that service handles it under its own privacy policy once you press play.
How we use it
- To send you the updates you signed up for.
- To tell you about events and news near you, which is what your ZIP code is for.
- To answer your messages.
- To understand what people read on the site, and make it better.
Who we share it with
We share your information with the service providers that run our email and this website on our behalf, and only so that they can do that work. We will also disclose information when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your email address.
Your choices
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and you are off the list.
- To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to [email protected] and we will take care of it.
Other sites
Donations are handled by MD PAC, a separate organization, on its own site under its own privacy policy. Links to news coverage, members’ sites and social media take you to sites we do not control; their policies apply there.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what we collect. No website or email service can promise perfect security, but we keep what we hold to what we need.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
